A large-scale Berber rug combining traditional craftsmanship with a more expressive colour palette.
This hand-knotted Beni Ourain Mrirt rug is part of the Djoharian Design collection and is made in Morocco using high-quality wool. It combines traditional Berber weaving techniques with a more contemporary and colourful design approach.
Unlike classic Beni Ourain rugs with strict black-and-white contrasts, this piece introduces a wider range of colours including beige, olive, blue and red, giving it a more dynamic and individual character.
With its generous size of approx. 12 × 9 ft, the rug is ideal for larger living spaces, dining rooms or open-plan interiors where it can define and structure the room.
Due to the natural hand-spun wool, slight shedding may occur initially, which decreases quickly with regular use.
