Beni Ourain Mrirt is a nomadic tribe living on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains in the Morocco. The carpets are named after the tribe.

Beni Ourain Mrirt rugs are almost always made in the same color scheme. The inner field is wool white, the motfs are charcoal, black or brown. Very common is a diamond design, but graphic styles like on this one are also available.

Are Beni Ourain Mrirt rugs durable?
Although the knot density in Beni Ourain Mrirt rugs is rather low, they have a good to very good durability due to the high-quality and shiny wool. Due to the long pile fiber, these rugs shed a little at the beginning.
