The Arijana Tribal Line
Arijana kilims are hand-woven in the workshops of southern Afghanistan near the Pakistani border — a region with a long tradition of tribal flatweave. The Arijana idiom reinterprets the historic tribal designs of the area in highland wool, with colour pigments drawn from natural plant dyes. The wool is hand-spun, the structure is a pure flatweave with fringes on both sides, and every piece carries the slight irregularities that mark genuine hand-woven work.
The line is known for its durability and timeless visual register — the geometric tribal vocabulary works equally well in modern interiors, in youthful loft settings, and as a layered foundation in more upscale rooms.
Colour and Design
This piece carries the Tribal Diamond motif in a quiet natural beige and brown palette — the colours of the highland wool in its undyed and lightly natural-dyed range. The result is a calm, neutral chromatic register that lets the geometry of the rug read clearly and pairs easily with most interior palettes.
