Large Room Size Rugs & Oversized Carpets — 7x10 ft and Above
Large Room Size Rugs — 7 × 10 ft and Above
“At this scale a rug becomes architecture — the floor of the room rather than an accent on it.”
When a Room Needs a Large Rug
Large area rugs — from 7 × 10 ft up to oversized 16 × 21 ft formats — are the architectural foundation of grand interiors. They unify furniture groupings in open-plan rooms, contain the acoustics of high-ceilinged spaces, and frame stately dining and conversation areas. Below 7 × 10 ft, a rug is an accent. From 8 × 10 upwards, the rug becomes the room.
Standard Large Formats
- —8 × 10 ft (240 × 300 cm) — the most versatile large format, sized for living rooms and dining tables with 6–8 chairs
- —8 × 11 ft (245 × 335 cm)
