Heriz is a village in the region Azerbeijan, close to the borders of Turkey, Azerbeijan and Persia. Heriz rugs are hand knotted with a traditional star Medaillon. They have a coarse knot structure and are very heavy. Main colors are red, brown, blue, green, ivory, beige. 

Are Heriz rugs durable?
Although the knot density in Abadeh rugs is rather low, they have a good to very good durability due to the high-quality wool.
