Pile: 100% virgin wool

Size: 9.6 x 7 ft / 293 x 215 cm
Warp and weft: 70% virgin wool, 30% goat hair
Colors: Basic color depending on the light incident between caramel and dark beige.
Node density: middle-fine
Condition: Excellent, full pile.
Age: 1960´-70´s
Style: Goes well with Victorian, Library, Dining Room, Living Room and Farmhouse. Great contrast to Industrial / Modern.
This carpet was made in the border area in northern Afghanistan, the Ersari live in the steppe between Merv in the west, Mazar I Sharif in the southeast and Bochara in the north. Typical are the large motifs, called Gul or Gül, and in relation to the infield above-average borders. Ersari Gül are almost always octagonal and relative close to a square shape.
