An authentic HEREKE SILK rug with finest silk.
Very fine knotted genuine Hereke silk carpet from Turkey. The basic fabric of silk carpets from Hereke is traditionally made of genuine Bursa silk. The pile is also made of Bursa silk dyed with natural colors. Souf silk carpets also have knitted metal threads coated with gold. The motif of the carpet is known as a prayer rug or a niche prayer rug. In the upper part there is a font cartouche above the prayer cupola, below which are arabesques and flowers. The carpet was knotted in the 1960's and is in excellent condition.

Hereke rugs are made in the city with the same name: Hereke, approx. 80 miles east of Istanbul. They are internationally known for extraordinary quality and beauty.
What is typical for Hereke rugs?
Hereke rugs have typical designs, such as Medaillon Rugs, Tree of Life Rugs, Piktoral Rugs and Hunting Rugs. The foundation consisting of warp and weft is usually a fine silk threat, the pile is short and made of silk as well. Hereke rugs also come in a combination of wool pile and cotton warp.

You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately and in any case no later than fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of your cancellation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the fourteen day period has expired.
